What free actually gets you

Every page here, including the generator and the messenger, renders in full without an account. The messenger goes one step further: send a real message in a sample chat and it answers, once, before the next message raises a sign-up wall that only asks for Google or an email address.

The generator's own Generate button works the other way around: it stays visible but inactive until you sign in, whatever you type into the prompt box, and a free account rather than a card is what turns it on.

Chat and characters
