What it is

Most of the sites on this list make pictures. Candy AI makes someone to talk to. Their roster runs to 148 women, 72 anime characters and 12 men, and a character you build yourself sits beside them: face, body, voice and personality picked from a form. The conversation is where everything happens. She keeps what you told her last time, plays along with a scene if you set one, sends a picture when you ask for one, and will take a voice call. The site runs in thirteen languages.

Why people stay

The memory is what separates this from a chatbot with a photo on it. The second conversation starts where the first one ended, and after a week that is the difference between a character and a search box. The roster is wide enough that most people find someone they want to keep talking to, and the one you build yourself holds the same face in every picture she sends afterwards.

The evidence for that is not on their marketing page. Their Discord runs past a hundred thousand members, with a few thousand people in it at any hour of the day, which is the closest thing there is to proof that a companion site is lived in rather than launched. Dozens of hands on video reviews exist for this one as well, which is not true of most of this shelf. If you are weighing whether the chat is good enough to pay for, that is the answer other people already gave.

You need an account, and it is a small one

Nothing here is anonymous past browsing. The message box on a character page renders for a visitor with no account, and the moment you send anything it asks you to sign up. That account is free, takes an email address or a Google or Discord login, and does not ask for a card.

What it gets you is less a free tier than a demonstration: five messages in total across every character, one custom character, and one image. Those three numbers are their own, published in their help centre, and it does not say whether they come back. Plan on one sitting.

Tokens are the real price

This is the part to get straight before you pay, because the plan card does not spell it out. Premium is unlimited text plus 100 tokens a month, topped up on your renewal date. Text is the only thing that is unlimited. Every picture in the chat, every clip, every voice message and every call spends tokens, and when they run out you buy more.

So read $13.99 as a month of conversation plus a hundred goes at everything else. If you are there to talk, that is a fair deal and the chat is good enough to carry it. If what you actually want is pictures of her, the subscription is the entry fee and your real monthly cost is above it.

Pictures, video and the scenes

Text to image has a page of its own, and a character you made holds the same face across everything you generate of her afterwards, which is the difference between a companion and a slideshow.

Video is narrower than the front page suggests. Their own help centre says the site does not generate a clip from a written description: it animates a picture, and it does that for paying accounts only. Sound is in beta on their side and they say so plainly, so some clips come out silent.

Then there is the "Full Live Action Experience" on the plan card, three lines above the price. Read that as live video of a character and you will be disappointed, because it is not. What it actually is, spelled out in their own help centre, is a full screen video scene with a menu of things to ask her for, on nine named characters. It is Premium only, it runs on mobile only, and some of the actions inside it spend tokens on top of the subscription you already bought. Taken for what it is rather than what the plan card implies, it is the most involved thing on the site.

The Cams tab is somebody else

Their navigation carries a Cams tab, and it opens a wall of rooms marked LIVE under performer handles, free to look at without an account. Not one of those handles is a character from their roster. It is a cam surface sitting beside the AI one, so do not count it as part of what the plan page is selling you.

What the plans cost

One tier carries a price before you sign up: Premium, $13.99 a month with 100 tokens. The terms cut it hard. Three months takes 35% off, at $8.99 a month billed as one payment of $26.97, and twelve months takes 70% off, at $3.99 a month billed as one payment of $47.88. The year is the cheapest way in by a distance, and it is also the one that wants the whole amount today.

Two more rungs sit in their page markup that the plan page does not draw: a fortnightly one at $9.79 and a weekly one at $5.60. Both work out dearer per month than the monthly card, at roughly $21 and $24, so if either is ever put in front of you it is not the bargain it looks like. There is a second tier as well, Premium Plus at 230 tokens a month, and no page quotes a price for it until you are inside an account.

Read all of it with your own country in mind. Their plan page has no currency control and re-prices by region, and the orders we see settle in four currencies.

Before you hand over a card

You cannot see their checkout without an account: every button on the plan page raises the same sign up box the chat does, so the payment form sits behind the account and we have not walked it. What we can tell you comes from two other places. Orders here complete day after day, in a spread of currencies, and no order we have seen in dollars cost more than the price their page advertises. And there is a real company behind it: EverAI Limited, registered in Malta, which is also what a statement shows, as EverAI.

The refund rule is narrow enough to read before you buy rather than after. Twenty four hours from payment, only if you have spent twenty tokens or fewer, and only if you paid by card in the first place. Cancelling is the easy half: an Unsubscribe button in settings, and their help centre says a plan can be cancelled but not paused. When we wrote to the address they publish, a person answered inside a day and did what we had asked, which is more than most of this shelf manages.
